Men's Cross Country Places Seventh at CSAC Championship

GWYNEDD-VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University cross country teams competed at the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship Saturday morning. The women placed fifth out of 11 teams while the men finished seventh out of seven.

Gwynedd-Mercy won the 2010 Men's title with 16 points. Marywood came in second with 70 points. Keystone was third (76), Baptist Bible (126), Centenary (144), Immaculata (154) and Neumann (159) rounded out the team scores.

 

Eddie Nungesser led Neumann, finishing 35th out of 60 runners in the 8K race. Nungesser ran a time of 31:14. Michael Hammond and Colin Kane placed 37th and 38th with times of 31:45.73 and 31:45.98, respectively.

 

Tim Schmitz and Anthony DeFrancesco rounded out the scoring for the Knights, finishing back-to-back in 40th and 41st place with times of 32:37 and 32:50, respectively.  

 

David Bergamo finished in 45th place with a time of 33:24. Chris Brown ran a time of 34:07 and 48th place. Rounding out the Neumann runners was Tim Kane with a time of 38:14 and 53rd place.
