ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey blanked the College of Notre Dame 6-0 Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Prior to the game, the Knights recognized three seniors; Krystalyn Christensen, Terri Yurick and Bridget Meekes; all which scored in today's contest.
Christensen scored two goals while Yurick, Meekes, Christina Hicks, Ellyn Jones scored for the Knights. Megan Scott notched two assists while Megan George and Erica Crabtree also dished out assists.
The Knights defense did not allow a Gator shot.
Hicks opened the scoring in the 11th minute. Jones made the game 2-0 just four minutes later. Christensen scored twice in the first half along with Yurick and Neumann took a 5-0 lead at halftime.
Meekes netted her goal in the 56th minute to cap the scoring.
Neumann (5-11, 4-2 CSAC) will travel to Moravian College on Thursday afternoon for non-conference action beginning at 4 p.m.
