ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team defeated No. 6 Elmira College 1-0 Friday evening in ECAC West action.

Michael Rey scored the lone goal of the game at the 7:51 mark of the second period. The power play goal was assisted by Jordan Zalba. Ross MacKinnon picked up the shutout and made 26 saves in net.

The Knights killed off a five minute penalty in the second period. Elmira pulled its goal for the final 53 seconds, but could not get past MacKinnon and Neumann came away with the 1-0 win.

Neumann (2-1-1, 1-0 ECAC West) will host Hobart College tomorrow evening in conference play beginning at 7 p.m.
