ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell to Hobart College 7-2 Saturday evening in ECAC West action.
Michael Rey and William Lacasse scored for the Knights. Ross MacKinnon started the game and made 12 saves. Matt Tendler had 15 saves in net.
Greg Cicola led the Statesmen with three goals and two assists. Matthew Wallace added two goals of his own. Nick Broadwater made 40 saves in net en route to Hobart's first win of the season.
Hobart opened the scoring just 2:36 into the game. Rey tied the game at one with a power play goal. The Statesmen then went on to score three more goals in the first period. Lacasse made it 4-2 with nine second left on the clock before the fire intermission.
Hobart added two goals in the second and one in the third, all on the power play, for the 7-2 win.
Neumann (2-2-1, 1-1 ECAC West) will travel to Utica and Manhattanville next weekend for road ECAC West action.
