ASTON, Pa. – Michael Rey scored with 46 seconds left in the third period to give No. 12 Neumann University a 3-2 win over Cortland St. Friday evening in ECAC West men's ice hockey action.

Rey and William Lacasse each had a goal and an assist in the game. Matt Tendler made 23 saves in net. 

Corey John and Justin Porpora had a goal and an assist for Cortland. Dan Jewell made 43 saves in net. The Knights outshot the Red Dragons 46- 25 overall and 19-1 in the third period. 

Cortland scored the only goal of the first period on a Porpora slap shot from the point with under five minutes left on the clock.

In the penalty plagued second period, three power play goals were scored by the two teams. Will Lacasse tied the game at one 2:09 into the second. The Red Dragons then took the lead back on a 5-on-3 goal midway through the period. Brent Tamane put got Neumann back even three minutes later.  

Rey then broke the tie off of a rebound with 46 second left in regulation.

Neumann (5-2-1) and Cortland (2-6-1) will face-off again tomorrow beginning at 4 p.m.
