PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team tied New England College 1-1 at the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic Friday afternoon.

Marlon Gardner scored the Knights goal. It came in the second period on the power play. William Lacasse and Steve Gervais assisted. Matt Tendler made 17 saves in net. Neumann out shot NEC 33-18.

NEC scored its goal in the first period with 5:15 left on the clock. Neumann's goal came five minutes into the second period as Garner lit the lamp on the man advantage.

Neumann (7-3-2) will face the winner host Plattsburgh St. tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. Plattsburgh defeated Curry College 7-1 this evening.
