ELMIRA, N.Y. – The No. 7 Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell to Elmira College 4-2 Saturday evening in ECAC West play.

Jeff Rodell and Jordan Zalba scored for the Knights. Steve Gervais and Brent Tamane picked up assists. Ross MacKinnon made 35 saves in net.

Neumann started strong, scoring two goals in the first period. Zalba scored on the power play 3:32 into the game. Rodell followed 1:10 later.

The Soaring Eagles netted a power play in the second period to make the score 2-1 Knights. Elmira then scored another power play 8:03 into the third period to tie the game at two.

Elmira scored the game-winning goal at the 13:16 mark and added an insurance goal with 1:03 left.

Neumann outshot Elmira 45-39.

Neumann (6-3-1, 3-2 ECAC West) will host SUNY-Brockport next Saturday evening. The non-conference game will begin at 7 p.m.
