PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell to Valley Forge Christian College, 87-75, Wednesday evening in non-conference action.

Marquise Boggs lead the Knights with 23 points. Patrick O'Connor netted 16 points and pulled in seven rebounds. Mark Blount also grabbed seven rebounds.

Michael Stum led the Patriots with 20 points. Justin Kinsey scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Steve Sims notched 14 while Shawn Taylor added 11.

Valley Forge held a 63-60 lead with 7:12 remaining in the second half when it went on a 9-0 run to jump out to a 72-60 advantage. The Patriot held the Knights at arms length for the final five minutes for the win.

The first 30 minutes of the game was a battle that featured nine lead changes and six ties.

Neumann (3-4) will host Widener University on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m.
