ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team defeated #8 Elmira College, 4-1, Friday evening in ECAC West action.

Cory Park had a goal and two assists. Steve Gervais had a goal and an assist. Ross MacKinnon made 42 saves in net for the win.

Elmira scored the only goal in the first period at the 17:14 mark.

Neumann responded in the second period with three goals, two on the power play. Steve Gervais tied the game at one with a power play goal 8:15 into the period. Jeff Rodell then put the Knights ahead on the power play at the 10:23 mark. Cory Park gave Neumann a two-goal lead heading into the second intermission.

Bill Foster sealed the win for Neumann with an empty net goal with 51 seconds left in regulation.

The Knights improve to 12-8-3 overall and 5-5-3 in the league. Neumann and Elmira will meet again tomorrow evening. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m.
