ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team travels to Elmira College for an ECAC West semifinal contest on Saturday evening.
Neumann enters the ECAC West playoffs as the No. 4 seed. The Knights defeated Utica College, 3-1, Wednesday evening in the first round to advance to the semifinals. Brent Tamane scored two goals and added an assist in the win. Jonathan La Rose made 25 saves in net.
Neumann is under second-year Head Coach Dominick Dawes. The Knights, who are currently 15-8-3 overall, are led by senior Matt Ward with 10 goals and 17 assists. Marlon Gardner has 12 goals and 13 assists, including eight power play goals and four game-winners. William Lacasse leads the Knights with 21 assists.
The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m. The winner of this game will face the winner of the other semifinal match-up between No. 2 Manhattanville and No. 3 Hobart for the ECAC Championship game next Saturday.
