ROSEMONT, Pa - Neumann University women's lacrosse wins their first Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup against Rosemount College 18-0.
Colleen Finnegan led the Knights with three goals and one assist. Neumann had four players each score two goals. Kathleen Sinclair made 5 saves for the shutout victory.
Rosemount goalkeeper Simone Greene made eight saves in thirty-five minutes of play.
The Knights offense came alive in the conference match-up. Neumann spread the scoring around among twelve different players. Lauren Frampton opened up the scoring just two minutes into the game and the Knights continued to attack. Neumann had control of the game at halftime, leading 12-0.
Neumann continued to control the play in the second half. The defense allowed only six shots in the second half. Offensively the Knights added five more goals, with Olivia Speakman scoring both her goals in the second half. The Knights took home their first conference win 18-0 and improve to 1-1 in the CSAC.
Neumann travels to Scranton on Wednesday evening. Game time is set for 7p.m.
