ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team dropped a 20-9 decision to Gwynedd-Mercy College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up Wednesday afternoon.

Alex Bohen led the Knights with four goals. She also added two assists. Colleen Finnegan added two goals and two assists. Kathleen Sinclair made 20 saves in net.

Neumann got on the board first as Tiffany Baker scored for the Knights. Finnegan scored her first goal to put the Knights up 2-1 seven minutes into the game. The Griffins answered with four straight goals to take a 5-2 lead. GMC took a 10-6 advantage at the half.

Gwynedd-Mercy opened the second half by scoring the first eight goals to increase its lead to 18-6. The Knights scored three of the final five goals of the game, but the Griffins came away with the 20-9 win.

Neumann (2-10, 1-4 CSAC) will host the College of Notre Dame on Saturday. The game is slated to begin at 12 p.m. and the seniors will be honored before the game.
