ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team dropped a 6-3 decision to Albright College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Megan Scott, Brianna Convery and Chelsa O'Donnell scored for the Knights. Callie Emel notched two assists while Scott also dished out an assist. Maggie Carpenter started the game in goal and made three saves. Lindsey Kasecamp played the second half in net and made six saves.
Caitlin Feldman scored three goals for Albright. Beth Morgan added two assists. Marguerite DeLucas made nine saves in net.
Albright jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. The Lions scored their three goals between 20 and 24 minutes into the game.
The Lions took a 4-0 lead with the 42nd minute. Neumann then attempted a comeback. O'Donnell opened the scoring for the Knights in the 51st minute with a goal from Scott. Scott then scored her own goal, from Emel, just a minute later. Convery cut the Lions lead to one, 4-3, with a goal in the 62nd minute.
Albright answered quickly after the Neumann's third goal and took back a two-goal lead in the 63rd minute. The Lions sealed the win with a goal in the 65th minute.
Neumann (0-7) will host Haverford College on Monday beginning at 4 p.m.
