ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team split two matches at day one of the Blue Jay Classic at Elizabethtown College.

In the first match of the evening, Neumann defeated Catholic, 3-1. Natalie George had 17 kills while Katelin Kuklentz added 15. Lauren Sheehan had eight kills with no errors.

Victoria Limmina and Maria Donahue each had 16 digs. Cecily Scavicchio notched 13 while Deanna Christy added 10. Scavicchio also handed out 54 asssists.

The Knights fell in the second match of the evening to host Elizabethtown, 3-0. George and Kuklentz each notched 10 kills. Sheehan added eight.

Limmina had 18 digs while Scavicchio added 12. Scavicchio also had 37 assists. The team had five block solos and 10 block assists.

Neumann (4-10) will face Mary Washington and Immaculata tomorrow in the second day of the Blue Jay Classic.
