Volleyball Picks Up 2 Wins, Places Second

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team picked up two wins at the second day of the Blue Jay Classic at Elizabethtown College on Saturday.

Neumann opened the morning with a 3-2 win over Mary Washington. The Knights picked up wins in the second and third set. After Mary Washington tied the match at two in the fourth set, Neumann picked up a 15-6 win in the fifth set.

Katelin Kuklentz had 14 kills and 17 digs for the Knights. Lauren Sheehan added 10. Cecily Scavicchio dished out 39 assists and 17 digs. Victoria Limmina picked up 12 digs. 

In the last match of the Classic, Neumann defeated Immaculata in three sets. Kuklentz notched 15 kills for the Knights. Scavicchio had 15 assists and Caitlin Kereszi dished out 14. Limmina added 14 digs.

Kuklentz was named to the All-Tournament team. The Knights finished 3-1 at the Classic, good for second place.

Neumann (6-10) will host Immaculata on Tuesday evening for a conference match beginning at 7 p.m.
