ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team defeated Wilkes University, 3-2, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Andrew Leissing scored two goals for the Knights. Evan Morgan also netted a goal. Lee Colins and Zach Sell notched assists. Michael Turner scored both goals for Wilkes.
The Knights struck early, as Morgan scored just 2:15 into the game. Leissing scored his first goal of the game in the 6th minute. Neumann held a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Wilkes tied the game at two in the 60th minute. Leissing then converted a penalty kick to put back on top and the Knights then held on for the 3-2 win.
Neumann (2-0) will travel to Stevenson on Wednesday for non-conference action beginning at 4 p.m.
