ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team held off Rosemont College, 73-64, Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Mark Blount led all scorers with 21 points. Marquise Boggs netted 17 points. Patrick O'Connor notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Justin Chaney led Rosemont with 20 points. Harrison Carsillo added 17. Greg Gardner pulled down 13 boards.

The Ravens held the advantage for most of the first 10 minutes of the contest. The Knights tied the score four times during that span. Bill Slade then hit a three-pointer with 9:58 on the clock to give Neumann a 21-20 advantage, a lead that would never relinquish.

Over the next six minutes, the Knights built a 10 point lead, 34-24. Neumann held a 12 point lead, 40-28, at halftime.

Rosemont would not go quietly and climbed to within five points three times in the second half. The final time was with 1:17 on the clock and the score 65-60. The Ravens then started to foul and O'Connor sank two shots at the line with 1:12 left in regulation. Mike Walukiewicz then made his two free throws to make the score 69-60 with 49 seconds left to put the game out of reach.

Neumann improves to 7-5 on the season and 4-1 in the conference. Rosemont is now 5-8 and 3-4 in the CSAC. The Knights travel to Gwynedd-Mercy on Monday for conference action beginning at 8 p.m.
