CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Baptist Bible 70-55 Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Rich Whitten led four Knights players in double-digits with 16 points. Mike Walukiewicz netted 15 points. Mark Blount and Bill Slade each added 14.

Dan Dodd scored 14 points for Baptist Bible. Luke Peterson added 10.

The Knights did not trail in this contest. Neumann kept a stead hold on Baptist Bible and built its lead up to 10, 25-15, on a Slade three-pointer with 8:54 left in the first half. The Knights held a 35-26 advantage at halftime

Blount hit a jumper to open the second half and Neumann never relinquished a double-figure lead. The Knights biggest lead was 21, 65-44, with 3:20 left in regulation.

Neumann improves to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in the conference. Baptist Bible is now 5-9 and 3-4 in the CSAC. The Knights travel to Cabrini College on Monday evening for a conference doubleheader. The women tip-off at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.
