GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Neumann University men's basketball defeated Rowan University for the second time this season, 74-60, Wednesday evening.
Patrick O'Connor led the Knights with 18 points. Mark Blount notched a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The freshman also had seven blocks. Marquise Boggs added 11 points.
Roger Loatman netted 12 points for Rowan. Sean Hughes scored 11 and Steve Secula added 10.
Neumann started the game with seven straight points in the first two minutes. The Knights built an 11 point lead, 15-4, as O'Connor hit a lay-up five minutes in. Neumann continued to add to its lead and took a 22 point advantage, 51-29, at halftime.
The Profs got to within 11 points, 68-57, with 2:26 left in regulation, but that was the closest the score would be. Neumann won the game 74-60.
Neumann (5-5) returns to conference play next Thursday when it hosts Philadelphia Biblical. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
