Knights Split against Nazareth and Ursinus

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team split at the second day of the Homecoming Classic on Sunday afternoon.

Neumann and Nazareth played four close sets. Nazareth won the first set 25-21. The Knights came back and tied the match at one, 25-23. Nazareth then took sets three and four 25-21.

Gianna Jones led the Knights offense with 11 kills. Natalie George notched nine and Katelin Kuklentz added eight. George also had three solo blocks.

Cecily Scavicchio handed out 31 assists. Danielle Kwapisz led the team with two service aces.

On the defensive side, Victoria Limmina had 19 digs and Kuklentz notched 15.

It took four sets, but Neumann defeated Ursinus, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Kuklentz had 15 kills and 15 digs in the match. Jones added 10 kills. George notched nine kills while Katie Young tallied eight.

Scavicchio dished out 44 assists. Limmina led the Knights with 20 digs and Kwapisz notched 11.

Jones and Kuklentz were named to the All-Classic Team.


Neumann (18-9) gets back into conference play on Wednesday evening when it travels to Philadelphia Biblical at 7:00 PM
