ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University women's basketball team loses in non conference competition against Richard Stockton College tonight 95-50.
The Knights found it difficult to compete with the size and speed of Stockton. It was a night that the Knights couldn't defensively seal off the low post and started to attack the rim late in the second half of the game. The good news is that the Knights were able to get different combination of players off the bench. Stockton happened to shoot the lights out of the Mirenda Center shooting 52% to the Knights 25%. The Osprey dominated the boards rebounding 59 to the Knights 32 rebounds.
Erica Marvel was the high scorer for the Knights with 13 points shooting 4-7 from three point land. Sami Borcky was the emotional leader on the court diving all over the floor, battling fiercely for the basketball. Borcky finished the game with 10 rebounds for the Knights.
The Knights are back in action this Friday November 18th against the College Of New Jersey for a 1 p.m. tip off at the Muhlenberg-Scotty Wood tournament.
