Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann volleyball team squeaked out a victory against No. 3 Marywood University in five sets in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinal Thursday evening. The Knights won 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 15-25, 15-12.

Natalie George dinked the ball over the net towards the Marywood bench to get the final point and send the Knights into a frenzy in the middle of the volleyball court, as they go back to back to the championship match against No. 1 seed Cabrini College.

The games were your typical back and forth, limiting each other to small runs. But it was the Knights mental fortitude that was the difference in the contest. Staying mentally sharp was what the doctor ordered for Coach Jespersen and company. The Knights were phenomenal and committed to defending with passion. Bodies were flying all over the place, grinding out each point.

Victoria Limmina got the shovel out to record 27 digs. Katelin Kuklentz pulled 12 kills, 24 digs and three crucial blocks. George added 13 kills and two blocks. Katie Young got in on the act with 11 kills. Gianna Jones was outstanding contributing 14 kills and towering over the net with four blocks. Danielle Kwapisz joined the team's dig party adding 14 digs.

Major kudos for Kelsey D'Imperio because she was awesome. D'imperio four kills and four blocks don't' tell the complete story, as her timing of those points were game changers. Input D'Imperio …advantage Knights!

Cabrini won in straight sets to beat Baptist Bible 3-0.  Neumann will go to Cabrini College for the championship match. Game time is TBD.
