Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Basketball team suffered a tough loss to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) rival Keystone College, 82-83, on Saturday afternoon.

Mark Blount posted 16 points to contribute to today's battle with the Giants. Double digit scorers also included Gerald Bryant with 13, Patrick O'Connor with 12, and Mike Walukiewicz with 11.

Both teams were neck and neck throughout the entire game, taking turns leading each other in points. As time was slowly winding down in the second half, Neumann found themselves down by 11 points. Three pointers by Rich Witten and Walukiewicz would help bridge the gap, bringing the Knights within five points of the Giants.

Neumann and Keystone would take turns dunking and making layups to eventually tie the game at 82 with just 1:39 remaining. Keystone received a scoring opportunity when Neumann called for a foul. Keystone's Mike Kelly would one-of-two from the line to put the Giants on top 83-82 with 1:22 left in the game. Neumann would have a chance to take the lead as it had possession of the ball with the clock winding down, but could not come away with the shot.

Neumann (5-4, 2-3 CSAC) will be on the road for its next five contests, starting at Rutgers-Newark next Saturday, December 17th, for non-conference action. Game is time is slated for 2:00 PM.
