GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell at Rowan University 89-66 on Saturday evening in non-conference action.
The Knights were led by Sami Borcky with 13 points. Bethany Humenik notched 12 and Erica Marvel added 11.
Laurel Creel led Rowan and all scorers with 28 points. Four other Profs hit double-digits.
With the two teams tied at seven with 16:28 left in the first half, Rowan went on a 12-0 run. Colleen Hinde hit a three-pointer at the 13:50 mark to stop the scoreless drought. The Profs would keep the momentum and build its lead to as many as 19 in the half.
Rowan would keep it going in the second half as Neumann would come as close as 11. The Profs came away with the 89-66 win.
Neumann (4-5) is now off until the new year when it will participate in the Gettysburg Days Inn Tournament on January 2nd and 3rd. The Knights will face Messiah on the 2nd beginning at 8:00 PM.
