LANGHORNE, Pa. – Neumann University women's basketball head coach Frank Farnese won his 100th game at Neumann as the Knights defeated Philadelphia Biblical University 83-56 Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.
Katie Young led the Knights with 24 points, 12 rebounds and eight steals. Krista DiRomualdo added 10 points. Erica Marvel and Cecily Scavicchio each netted nine points.
Careth Herron scored 17 points for the Crimson Eagles. Lisa Gardner notched 12. Hannah McCardle and Haley Weber each added 10.
The Knights came out with a bang and built up a 20 point lead, 34-14, just midway through the first half. Neumann held a 57-29 lead at half time.
The closest the Crimson Eagles would get in the second half was 21, 64-43. The lead Neumann built up in the first half was enough to cruise to victory and give sixth year head coach Farnese his 100th win.
Neumann (17-7, 14-1 CSAC) will host Cabrini College on Thursday evening in the final game of the regular season. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
