DOVER, Del. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Wesley College 16-11 Saturday afternoon in its 2011 season opener.
Alexandra Bohen scored five goals and notched three assists to lead the Knights. Erica Crabtree netted two goals. Sam Kotowski made six saves in net.
The game was tied at four midway through the first half. Wesley then scored the final six of the next eight goals to take a 10-6 lead into halftime.
The Knights could not overcome the first half deficit and fell 16-11.
Neumann (0-1) will host Marymount College on March 9th in its home opener. The game is slated to start at 5 p.m.
