CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team ended its season with an 86-74 loss at DeSales University on Wednesday evening in the first round of the ECAC South Region Tournament.

Mike Walukiewicz led five Knights in double-digits with 14 points. Patrick O'Connor notched 13 points. Mark Blount added 11 points. Rich Whitten and Marquise Boggs each netted 10.

Brett Moyer and Bob Zanneo led all scorers with 18 points each for the Bulldogs. Brian Hunter notched 13 while Mike Coleman added 11.

DeSales came out strong and built up a 14 point lead, 28-14, 9:30 into the game. The Bulldogs' largest lead in the half was 16 and the held a 15 point advantage, 46-31, at halftime.

The Knights began to chip away at the Bulldogs lead, and with 11:15 on the clock in the second half had cut the lead to two, 53-51. DeSales would net the next five points to take back a six point advantage. The Bulldogs would keep the Knights at arms-length for the rest of regulation and came away with the 86-74 win.

DeSales moves onto the semifinals. Neumann finishes its season 16-13 overall.
