ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell to the Catholic University of America 15-4 on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

Justin Mailloux scored twice for the Knights. Andrew Neubauer started the game in net and made nine saves in the first half. Ryan Davis played the second half and made 11 saves in net.

The first remained close. The Cardinals scored the game's first goal 2:17 into the game. Steven Miner tied the game at one less than a minute later. Catholic took a 2-1 lead with five minutes left in the first quarter.

The Cardinals poured on the offense in the second quarter, scoring six goals and took an 8-1 lead into halftime.

Mailloux scored his first goal of the game 19 seconds into the second half. Catholic would score the other four goals of the quarter for a 12-2 lead after three.

Sam Maldou and Mailloux scored to open the fourth quarter. The Cardinals again would close out a quarter, this time scoring three goals for the 15-4 final.

Neumann (1-5) opens conference play on Saturday when it travels to Immaculata. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
