ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season with a 16-12 win over Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday afternoon.
Alexandra Bohen scored 10 goals in the game to lead the Knights. Erica Crabtree notched four goals. Meghan Garsey dished out a goal and two assists. Sam Kotowski made 20 saves for the win.
The first half was a battle back and forth and the Mighty Macs held a 7-5 lead at halftime.
After Immaculata scored the first goal of the second half, Neumann went on to net the next eight goals to take a 13-8 advantage. The teams traded goals for the last 10 minutes, but the cushion the Knights made in the first part of the half proved to be enough to earned their first win.
Neumann is now 1-4 on the season and 1-0 in the CSAC. The Knights continue conference play on Saturday when they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
