Women's Lacrosse Finishes Regular Season on High Note

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season with a 20-2 win over Rosemont College on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

 

Carla Melendez led the Knights with five goals. Alexandra Bohen notched three. Adrienne McCrae, Jaimie Sinex and Meghan Garsey each netted two. Sam Kotowski started the game and made four saves. Lindsey Kasecamp was in net for the second half and made two saves.

 

Neumann held the play from the beginning. Erica Crabtree scored the first goal just 1:25 after the draw. Emily Glackin then scored a minute later for an early 2-0 lead. The Knights held a 5-0 lead after the five 10 minutes and 8-0 after 15 minutes. Melendez scored with one second remaining in the first half for a 14-0 lead at the break.

 

Sinex notched her second goal of the game 29 seconds into the second half. The Ravens broke the shutout at the 16:09 mark. Rosemont then scored its second goal of the game on a free position shot with five second left in the game. Neumann came away with the 20-2 win.

 

Before the game, the Knights recognized their three seniors: Emily Glackin, Adrienne McCrae and Sarah Poynter.

 

Neumann finishes the regular season 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the CSAC. The Knights will be the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament as action begins on Saturday.
