ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team wrapped-up the 2011 season on a high note with a 15-8 win over Centenary College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Justin Mailloux scored four goals in the game to finish his career with 100 goals. Mike Pantelone also notched four goals. Justin Smith and Sam Maldou each netted two goals. Andrew Neubauer made 15 saves in net. Alex Becker made two saves in just over eight minutes of play in net.
Pantelone scored two of his goals in the first quarter as the Knights took a 3-1 lead after one. Ryan O'Shea put the Knights on the board at 2:18 into the game.
The Knights outscored the Cyclones 4-2 in the second quarter to take a 7-3 lead into halftime.
Neumann scored five goals in the third quarter, three by Mailloux, and held a 12-5 lead after three.
Mailloux scored his fourth goal, and the 100th of his career, at the 11:26 mark of the fourth quarter. The Knights then cruised their way to the 15-8 final.
Prior to the game, the Knights honored its two seniors, Rich Louis and Justin Mailloux.
Neumann ends its season 4-10 overall and 2-4 in the CSAC.
