ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team picked up a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) win by defeating Keystone College 3-0 Tuesday evening. The games scores were a convincing 25-8, 25-11 and 25-14.

It was a remarkable night for the Knights as three players enjoyed phenomenal hitting percentages. Caitlin Cantwell (8 kills) heads the list with a colossal .538 hitting percentage, along with Katelin Kuklentz's (11 kills) .421 hitting percentage and Natalie George's (10 kills) .353 hitting percentage. All three women were “machine like” in their kills as it happened early and often.

There were three solo blocks on the night for the Knights. George notched two of them. Victoria Limmina was stellar as she manufactured 11 digs and provided a tremendous defensive effort. The defensive play of the night belonged to Kuklentz as she sprouled out parallel the floor, just getting her hand under the ball to save the point.

Cecily Scavicchio offered up 31 assist to feed the hungry trio. But it was a credit to the team's digs that made Scavacchio serves up taters for the trio to pounce on. Scavicchio also notched two service aces. Elaina Shooster serves up three aces while Limmina provided two.

“The thing that I am most proud of is that we didn't take our foot off the pedal,” said Coach Deanna Jespersen. 'I am so pleased that all the girls were able to take part, while still maintaining our high level of play.”

Each kill by the Knights was met with a roar from the crowd. Fans were hanging off the banister to support their side. The volleyball fans left wanting five sets as the Knights left quite a preview that there's more quality and entertainment to come.

Neumann (6-3,1-0 CSAC) will host the Knights Invitational beginning on Friday and concluding on Saturday.
