ASTON, Pa.- The Neumann University volleyball team lost to preseason favorites Cabrini College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play 3-1. It marked the 100th win for Eric Schaefer for the Cavaliers.
It was Neumann that won the first set after having a slow start 25-23. Cabrini continued with their quick start for both the second and third sets. The Cavaliers would put the pressure on Neumann as they were successful with their services and gaining easy points. Cabrini College would wrap up the game in the fourth set winning 25-18
Victoria Limminia (Jr. Wilmington, Del. / Padua Academy) had 17 digs, Cecily Scavecchio (Sr. Boothwyn, Pa./ Garnet Valley) had 32 assist and Katelin Kuklentz (So. Spring City, Pa. / St. Pius) had 17 kills, while recording 4 service aces on the night.
"It was a tough lose for the girls tonight, but we'll continiue to learn and develop," said Coach Jespersen.
The Knights will be back in action next Wednesday October 5, against Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference at 7 pm .
