WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketballs team (4-8) dropped to non-conference opponents Kings College (9-3) 83-54 Saturday afternoon.

The Knights played the tail of two halves and after their first half shooting woes were destined to lose to King's College. Road games haven't favored the Knights to date, as they scored 16 first half points compared to King's 44 points. Neumann couldn't find there shooting touch, shooting 1-12 from the three point ark. King's started the game on a 14-2 run that would see them extend their lead to as many as 29 points.

The Knights stood toe to toe in the second half scoring 38 points to Kings 39 points. The game went back and forth exchanging points without any significant runs from either team. Four King's players reached double digits in points as the Knights Erica Marvel and Bethany Humenik each scored 10 points.

"We continue to learn how to negotiate games on the road and getting off to quicker starts to games. But this is a non conference game, I feel we can take these growing pains and have a go at CSAC teams, such as Rosemont next week," said Coach Farnese. "Our second half performance was super; we need to play two complete halves."

The Knights are traveling to Colonial States Athletic Conference rivals Rosemont College January 9th for a 6 pm tipoff.
