ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team bumped off non-conference opponents Rowan University 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-19) Friday evening for their eighth win in a row.

The Knights came from behind in the first set until they tied the match at 10-10. Katelin “Kookie” Kuklentz gave the Knights their first lead with a kill to make it 11-10. Cecily Scavicchio would give the Knights the lead for good off a service ace to make it 18-17.

Kelsey D'Imperio thumped a kill to make it 19-18. As if that wasn't good enough, D'Imperio stretched her arm back all the to Sr. Marguerite's back yard. Sister Marguerite looked at the arm and gave it a wee little blessing. With the blessing in place, D'Imperio slung her arm back into to place and hammered a shot for the 20th point in the set.

Natalie George slammed down the 23rd point, followed by a Victoria Limmina service ace and George sealed the deal with another kill to win the set 25-21.

The second and third sets weren't as close as the first set, but there were significant rallies that saw the Knights being the benefactors.

Scavicchio finished with 29 assist and 11 digs, George added 13 kills at crucial moments and delivered three service aces. “Kookie” had 13 digs, 10 kills and three service aces for a quiet night. Limmina covered the floor with 15 digs, as she looked like wonder women using her silver bracelets to fend off the enemy and keep the ball in play.
