LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season, 87-55, against Cairn University on Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Colleen Hinde and Jessica Schlesman led the total team effort with 10 points each. All 16 Knights on the court had at least one basket en route to the win. The team also hit 10-three pointers.

After the teams were tied at seven a few minutes into the game, the Knights went on a 25-5 to take a commanding 32-12 lead. A three-pointer by Brittany Wood at the end of the first half gave Neumann a 47-28 advantage going into halftime.

The Knights continued their dominance in the second half and built their lead up to 32 at the end of the game.

Neumann (1-3, 1-0 CSAC) will travel to Cedar Crest on Monday to continue CSAC action. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 PM.
