Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team finds No. 5 Elmira College to be too much in ECAC West action falling 1-0, Saturday evening.

The Knights stood tall before losing 1-0 to the Soaring Eagles. The Soaring Eagles outshot the Knights 38-9 and Neumann served seven penalties to Elmira's one penalty. Despite the high count of penalties for the Knights, the Soaring Eagles would not capitalize (0/6) on their opportunities.

Elmira outshot the Knights 13-4 in the first period and one of the 13 found its way into the back of the net to give Soaring Eagles a 1-0 lead that would hold to be the game winner.

Ashley Langdon staged the best opportunity for the Knights, as she created a breakaway in the second period. As she went to goal, she hit a shot destined for the back of the net, but the post had shifted itself to perfectly in the way to thwart away a share of the lead.

Shannon Donnelly made 37 saves, as she was stellar and did everything but stand on her head.

The Knights (2-5-1, 2-3 ECAC West) will meet and host No. 5 Elmira College again on Sunday, December 2nd at 3 p.m.
