ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team finished the regular season with a 2-2 tie against No. 11 Elmira College on Sunday afternoon in ECAC West action.

Marlon Gardner and Cory Park each had a goal and an assist. Ross MacKinnon made 37 saves in net.

After the teams played to scoreless first period, the Soaring Eagles put the puck in the net 4:45 into the second period. Park scored four minutes later on the power play. Elmira retook the lead just 31 seconds later and held the 2-1 lead going into the second intermission.

Gardner tied the game at two with a quick wrist shot at the 11:11 mark of the second period. Neither team could break the knotted score.

Before the game, Neumann recognized its eight seniors: #1 Ross MacKinnon, #4 Brent Tamane, #8 Danil Guryev, #9 Bill Foster, #20 Matt Tendler, #21 William Lacasse, #26 Cory Park and #71 Marlon Gardner.

Neumann ends the regular season13-7-3 overall and 3-6-3 in the ECAC West. The Knights will travel to Utica College on Wednesday evening for the first round game of the conference playoffs. The puck is slated to drop at 7:00 PM.
