CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team opened its 2012 season with a 16-7 win at Rutgers-Camden on Monday evening in non-conference action.

Alexandra Bohen led the Knights with six goals. Erica Crabtree netted four and Meghan Garsey notched three. Sam Kotowski made seven saves in net.

Garsey opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the game. The teams at first battled back and forth, but the Knights scored the final three goals of the half and held a 9-4 advantage at halftime.

Neumann kept the pressure on in the second half. The Knights scored four of the final five goals in the last 10 minutes of regulation to seal the 16-7 win.

Neumann opens its home schedule on Wednesday when it hosts Arcadia. The game is slated for 4:00 PM.
