Men's Lacrosse Clinches Come-From-Behind Win

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team scored the only goal of the fourth quarter for a 7-6 win at Shenandoah University on Wednesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

 

The Knights put two goals on the board in the first five minutes of the game. The Hornets responded with six straight goals, going into the third quarter. With 8:30 left in the third quarter, Eric Johnsen stopped the Shenandoah assault to make the score 6-3. With two goals within 30 seconds of each other towards the end of the quarter, the Knights tied the game at 6-all.

 

With time winding down in regulation, Ryan O'Kane put the ball in the back of the net for Neumann for a 7-6 game. The Knights held off the Hornet for the final two minute for the come-from-behind win.

 

O'Kane, Johnsen and Sam Maldou each ended with two goals. Andrew Neubauer made 12 saves in net.

 

Neumann (4-5, 2-0 CSAC) will host Immaculata on Saturday at 4:00 PM in conference action.
