Women's Lacrosse Suffers First CSAC Loss

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Centenary College 20-13 Saturday afternoon.

 

The two teams came into play on Saturday in a tie for first place in the conference, both 3-0 in CSAC action thus far.

 

The Knights found themselves down by two goals less than three minutes into the game, but quickly bounced back and took a two goal lead. Lexy Wilkinson and Erica Crabtree scored one right after the other, followed by Alex Bohen with two goals in a row.

 

At the half, the Cyclones led 9-6. They continued to build a lead throughout the second half, putting the Knights at an arm's length for the remainder of the game.

 

Bohen led Neumann with six goals and one assist. Sam Kotowski made 14 saves in net.

 

Neumann, (7-2, 3-1 CSAC) will travel to Swarthmore College on Tuesday for non-conference action. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 PM.
