RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) rival Cabrini College 17-9 Saturday afternoon.
Both teams took turns scoring throughout the first half. Suzanne Sheehan found the back of the net first for the Knights, followed by Alexandra Bohen. With nine minutes remaining in the half, the Cavaliers began to pull away with the lead. Neumann trailed 10-5 at the half.
Bohen would score two more times in the second half to help Neumann, but it would not be enough to stop Cabrini. The Cavaliers would put away seven more goals in the second to take the win.
Meghan Garsey scored twice and dished out an assist for three points, while Bohen scored three times to give each of them three points on the day. Erica Crabtree followed with one goal and one assist for two points.
Sam Kotowski and Lauren Songer both saw time in net, collecting 20 saves.
Neumann (8-4, 4-2 CSAC) will host Bryn Mawr College Tuesday evening. Game time is slated for 7PM.
