CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team's outstanding season will continue as the Knights received a bid to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament, announced on Monday.
Neumann was named the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seeded Alvernia University on Wednesday. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
The Knights advanced to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs, as a No. 5 seed and lost in the first round to No. 4 Centenary College 13-9.
Neumann is 10-6 in the 2012 campaign and this will be the first ECAC tournament appearance for the women's lacrosse program. Senior Alex Bohen was named first team all-conference and she welcomes any additional games to add to her collegiate career. Meghan Garsey and Erica Crabtree were named to the conference honorable mention team.
The winner of the Neumann/Alvernia game will face No. 1 Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, game time TBD.
