ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up a huge Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) win against Immaculata University on Monday evening, 70-53.

Mark Blount notched a double-double for the Knights with 16 points and 12 rebounds. He also had three of the teams nine blocks. Rich Whitten also netted 16 points. Zach Thomas scored 10 points. TaVaune Griffin had three blocks of his own while Whitten had two and Eric Bowman had one. Reggie Coleman dished out five assists.

With five minutes played in the first half, the Mighty Macs held a one point lead, 8-7. The Knights then went on a 14-0 run to take a 21-8 lead with 8:37 left on the clock. Neumann built its lead up to as many as 17 during the half and took a 32-18 lead into the locker room.

The Mighty Macs went on a 10-2 run over a five minute span in the second half to get to within 10 points, 43-33. The Knights answered with a 15-7 run, starting with a three-pointer by Thomas and capped by a play-up by Whitten. Neumann then cruised to the 70-53 win.

Neumann improves to 5-9 overall and 4-3 in the CSAC. The Knights host Rosemont on Wednesday in conference action beginning at 7:00 PM.
