Good Start Not Enough for Men's Basketball

RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team dropped an 84-58 decision at Cabrini College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Wednesday evening.


Reggie Coleman led the Knights with 17 points. He hit three three-pointers and went 6-for-8 from the free throw line. Benny Birch and TaVaune Griffin each netted nine points. Griffin also had three blocks.

The Knights came out strong to start and held the lead for the first part of the first half. With the score tied at 17, Neumann scored six straight points capped by a free throw by Griffin, for a 23-17 lead, its biggest of the game.  The Cavaliers answered with 14 straight points of their own for a 31-23 lead. Cabrini held a 43-30 lead at halftime.

Cabrini took the lead it built in the last part of the first half and continued to build on it in the second half to come away with the 84-58 win.

Neumann (4-8, 3-2 CSAC) wraps up its three-game road trip on Saturday when it travels to Keystone. Tip-off is slated for 3:00 PM.
