Men's Hockey Picks Up First Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team picked up its first win of the season with a 3-0 win over Nazareth College in ECAC West action on Friday evening.

Shayne Morrissey netted two goals for Neumann. Chris Bournazos added two assists. Braely Torris notched 28 saves in the shutout.

The Knights scored one goal in each period en route to the win. Ryan Luiten scored the first goal of the game with 1:02 left in the first period. Mikko Virtanen and Jon Low drew the assists.

Morrissey netted his first goal of the game on the power play at the 8:51 mark of the second period. D'Lane Sather and Bournazos notched the assists.

Neumann killed off a 5-on-3 Nazareth power play as the second period came to an end to hold the 2-0 lead.

Morrissey added an insurance midway through the third period. Bournazos and Dan McDougall had the nice passes on the goal.

Neumann (1-2-1, 1-2-1 ECAC West) will host No. 9 Utica College tomorrow evening in conference action beginning at 7:00 PM.
