LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell at Keystone College, 89-79, on Monday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Reggie Coleman led the Knights with 34 points. DeShawn Lowman netted 14 points, Kevin Green had 13 while Mark Blount added 10. Blount also added notched blocks.
Each team had runs during the game, but the final run by Keystone proved to be the difference.
Early in the game, the Knights opened on a 10-2 run. The Giants tied the game at 17 at the 12:25 mark of the first half. Neumann then went on to score 18-8 run to take a 10 point lead. Keystone chipped its way back and Neumann held a four point lead, 43-39, at the half.
In the second half, and the teams tied at 55, the Knights went on an 11-2 run to take a 66-57 lead. The Giants then answered with a 12-3 run and the game was knotted at 69 with 3:25 left in regulation.
Keystone took over the final three minutes, doubling Neumann in points 20-10 and taking the 89-79 win.
Neumann (3-2, 1-1 CSAC) heads to Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday evening for CSAC action beginning at 8:00 PM.
