STAMFORD, Conn. – The No. 15 Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell to No. 13 Manhattanville College 5-2 on Friday afternoon in ECAC West action.

Mikko Virtanen had a goal and an assist for the Knights. Braely Torris made 31 saves in net.

Scott Elkow scored early for the Knights, lighting the lamp 3:28 into the game. Virtanen assisted on the goal.

The Valiants tied the game at one 3:36 into the second period. Virtanen then put Neumann back up, 2-1, at the 11:35 mark, off an assist from Jordan Zalba. Manhattanville answered with two goals within a minute at the 13:52 and 14:43 marks to jump out to a 3-2 lead heading into the intermission.

The Valients added two more goals in the third period, including a shorthanded, empty net goal, to seal the conference win.

Neumann is now 12-6-2 overall and 4-6 in ECAC West action. The two teams will face-off again tomorrow evening, this time on the Knights home ice, beginning at 7:00 PM.
