ASTON, Pa. – The No. 13 Neumann University men's ice hockey team defeated Nazareth College 4-1 on Wednesday evening in ECAC West first round action.

Harley Garrioch led the Knights with goal and two assists. Sean Crozier had a goal and an assist. Braely Torris made 19 saves in net.

Crozier put the Knights on the board midway through the first period off assists from Garrioch and Jake Kratz.

Dan McDougall scored his first collegiate goal, the eventual game-winner, with 5:02 left in the second period to put the Knights up 2-0. Crozier and Garrioch drew the assists.

Nazareth scored its only goal of the game on the power play 3:17 into the third period. Dave Gervais, assisted by Andrew Love, put Neumann back up by two, 3-1, three minutes later. Garrioch notched an empty net goal with 38 seconds remaining in the game to seal the win.

Neumann improves to 17-6-3 overall and will travel to Hobart on Saturday for semifinal action beginning at 7:00 PM.
