WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team was upended by King's College 9-6 Saturday afternoon, in non-conference action.

The Knights couldn't overcome the second and third period deficit to the Monarchs. Chris Scott and Patrick Rose led the way for the Knights with two goals.

Neumann took a 2-1 first period lead on goals by Rose and Scott, but King's breathed life when they scored 55 seconds left in the first period.

The Monarchs built on their momentum from the first period, as they scored four goals and take a 5-2 lead into halftime.

Kings extended their lead to 7-3 after three periods.

Rose, Scott and Ryan O'Kane scored in the fourth period, but it wasn't enough as King's out the Knights 39-22. Andrew Neubauer made 13 saves for the Knights. The Knights on the whole weren't in good form, but Neubauer continues to be a bright light for the Knights. Rob Foster was active with his defensive pressure on the Monarchs and creating turnovers.

“It was a tough game today and we look to execute our game plan more effectively, as time goes on,” said Malampy.

The Knights (0-2) host Richard Stockton College for their first home game of the season Wednesday, February 27, slated for 7 p.m.
